CareerSource Central Florida

Workforce Central Florida gets new name: CareerSource

Central Florida’s publicly funded jobs agency, Workforce Central Florida, has been renamed CareerSource Central Florida. The new name, shared by all the workforce boards across the state, will promote greater brand consistency and unite the different entities through this rebranding.

In the new marketing plan, local agencies like Workforce Central Florida were allowed to keep their respective location in the name thus creating the new title, CareerSource Central Florida.  All six Workforce Central Florida and JobVantage offices will be known as CareerSource Central Florida using the new orange, blue and green tri-arrow logo. The statewide network will also be renamed CareerSource Florida.

Introduced by Gov. Rick Scott and passed by the legislature in 2012, this initiative aims to minimize confusion and fully educate Floridians about all the services offered. Helping Florida businesses find and develop talent, CareerSource Florida oversees 24 boards that work with thousands of unemployed workers and receives more than $300 million annually in federal funds.

CareerSource Central Florida will receive $77,500 of the statewide total of $1.5 million for signage, stationary and business cards. In addition, they have launched a new website http://careersourcecentralflorida.com.
