Daytona State College Set for Expansion

Daytona State College is constructing a 24,000-square-foot building at its Flagler/Palm Coast campus—as part of the college’s continuing efforts to expand regionally. H. J. High Construction is handling the construction. The yet-to-be-named building, designed by SchenkelShultz Architecture, will be Green Globe certified and include classrooms, a collaborative lecture hall, informal areas for students, offices, a bookstore and a student lounge. The project also includes a 300-stall parking lot and a new central energy plant for the campus’s heating and cooling needs. The facility is expected to be completed by the 2014 fall semester.
